Helena, MT – A 19 year-old man who stole from the Cathedral of Saint Helena and failed his deferred sentence is being sent to prison.

Gary Bristol will now serve five years at the Montana state prison and have a five year suspended sentence following his time at prison. Bristol won’t have any chance at an early discharge.

Lewis and Clark county district judge James Reynolds says Bristol didn’t do anything that he was asked to do in his previous sentence.

County attorney Leo Gallagher says its important Bristol goes to prison.
