(MTN News-BUTTE ) The man arrested in a December drug raid at his residence in Butte pleaded not guilty to felony drug charges Tuesday morning in Butte District Court.

Lester Oxendine, 32, was charged with felony counts of criminal distribution of dangerous drugs, criminal possession of drugs with intent to sell and assault with a weapon.

Oxendine had been living in Butte since July and allegedly brought in 5 to 10 pounds of methamphetamine each month from out of state to sell in Butte. Charging documents also allege he shot a gun at his girlfriend in early December, but the bullet missed her. Oxendine was arrested on Dec. 8th after police raided his home at 937 Sutter Street and found large quantities of meth and several firearms.
