9:09am A vehicle reported stolen from a business in the 3100 blk of Prospect was found. The Hyundai Tuscon was reported stolen on January 19th.
7:34 am Officers arrested Randy Shane Perry (31 yrs of age, Helena) in the 1300 blk of Wilder Avenue on two valid warrants for his arrest. He was booked at the detention center.
10:30am Officers were called to the state Probation and Parole Offices on North Rodney concerning a client resisting arrest by probation officers. PD officers responded and arrested 31 year old Christopher Lee Rasmussen (no current address) for violating the terms of his probation, in addition to Resisting Arrest, Possession of Dangerous Drugs (felony), and Escape for fleeing from probation custody. He was booked at the detention center.
10:00pm Officers were called to St. Peter’s Hospital concerning a male arriving there with a non-life-threatening stab wound. The victim reported he had been attacked by an unknown male in the area of Roberts and Lyndale Avenue while walking with a friend. The suspect was described as about 6′ tall, medium building wearing a black jacket, grey hoodie and a black bandanna. The victim left the hospital after being treated. The case is still under investigation.1/20/
2:43pm An officer responded to the 400 blk of Russell Lane concerning a theft from a vehicle. The victim reported someone had entered his truck over night and stolen a Ruger 9mm pistol from the vehicle.
4:21pm Officers responded to a report of a vehicle reported stolen the prior day being driven in the area of the 1900 blk of Prospect Avenue. The vehicle was located and two occupants – Juan De Dios Alejandre (33 yrs of age, Helena) and Mario Antonio Alicea (26 yrs of age, Helena) were both arrested for outstanding warrants. Both were booked at the detention center. The theft of the vehicle is still under investigation.
7:40pm An officer was called to a shoplifting at a business in the 2000 blk of Cromwell Dixon Lane. A female left the store without paying for approximately $375 in cosmetics. The case remains under investigation.
6:42am An officer took a report of a theft from motor vehicles in the 1000 blk of Cannon and the 500 blk of Flowerree One victim reported missing a knife from his vehicle; another a GPS unit and a radar detector.
5:42pm Officers responded to a business in the 1200 blk of Prospect concerning a possibly suicidal female. Officers eventually transported the female to the hospital for evaluation.
0345 hours, an Officer stopped to check on the occupants of a vehicle that appeared to be stuck in a snow bank. After making contact with the female driver, the Officer conducted a DUI investigation. At the conclusion of the investigation, Terri Ashley 50 of Helena, was cited for DUI (3rd), driving while her license was suspended, and expired registration.
0937 hours, an Officer responded to a local school for a report of a theft. At the conclusion of the investigation, a juvenile male was cited for theft.
1010 hours, an Officer responded to a local school for a report of a student in possession of drug paraphernalia. At the end of their investigation a juvenile was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
1121 hours, an Officer responded to a report of a theft of mail from her mailbox during the night. There is no suspect information at this time.
1130 hours, an Officer responded to a report of an internal theft from a business. This case is active.
1225 hours, Officers responded to the 1500 block of Railroad Avenue for a report of a female that was following an individual and trying to intimidate her. This case is active.
On 01/20/16 at 1234 hours, an Officer responded to the 400 block of Last Chance Gulch for a report of found drug paraphernalia. The item was placed in to evidence.
On 01/20/16 at 1335 hours, an Officer responded to the 100 block of Oakwood for a report of a stolen license plate. There is no suspect information at this time.
1405 hours, Officers responded to the 1900 block of Last Chance Gulch for a report of a stolen vehicle. Officers made contact with the owner who advised that they were missing a vehicle from their lot. The vehicle is a 2003 Nissan Altima, green in color. 1736 hours, an Officer responded to the 1900 block of 9th Avenue for a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. The complainant advised that someone had broken the window on their vehicle. There is no suspect information at this time.
1747 hours, an Officer responded to the 3100 block of Montana for a report of a male taking item from the store. The male left prior to the Officers arrival. This case is active.
1119 hours-2000 block of 9th Ave-An officer responded and arrested Nicholas E. Condon-Root, 25, of Helena. on a district court warrant.
1200 hours-1600 block of Livingston-An officer investigated a theft of a Fed Ex package.
1447 hours-2700 block of Prospect-An officer received a report of a theft of cell phone.
1524 hours-100 block of South Last Chance Gulch-Officers responded to a report of a fight between two males. No arrests were made.
1649 hours-2500 block of Gold Rush-An officer received a report of theft of mail.
1703 hours-2700 block of Prospect-An officer responded to a report of a shoplifting and trespass.
1733 hours-2700 block of Prospect-An officer responded to a reported shoplifting.
1923 hours-1200 block of Walnut-An officer investigated the theft and forgery of a money order.
0003 hours-1300 block of Euclid-An officer responded to a report of a beer theft.
1030 hours-111 N Rodney, Officers responded to a request for assistance from Probation and Parole. A probation officer was attempting to arrest Christopher Rasmussen, 31, of Helena for a probation violation. Rasmussen attempted to flee and was subdued by the probation officer along with Helena Police officers. He was arrested and charged with Probation Violation, Attempted Escape, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. and resisting arrest.

1550 hours-300 block of N Park-An officer investigated a criminal mischief to a window.
