Helena Police say the theft occurred on the 100 block of Dunbar just off Custer Avenue

(MTN News-Helena) A dozen firearms were stolen from a storage unit in Helena earlier this week.

Helena Police say the theft occurred on the 100 block of Dunbar just off Custer Avenue sometime between Monday and Tuesday.

According to law enforcement, the lock had been cut off the storage unit.

A dozen firearms were taken, ranging from rifles to shotguns.

No surveillance video is available.

Police are now working with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms and the FBI to track down whoever is responsible.

The following firearms were taken:

– Browning Gold Hunter 12 gauge
– Remington 1100 LT 20 gauge, black in color
– Thompson Omega 50 caliber black powder
– Ruger 10/22 with grey threaded barrel and thumb hole laminate stock
– Two Bolt action 22 rifles with older scopes
– Winchester 67 bolt action 22
– Mossberg 12 gauge
– Remington 700 varmint bull barrel 22-250 with Sunderland scope
– Colt Hbar Elite stainless with Springfield scope
– Winchester 94 30-30
– Beretta Silver Pigeon III 12 gauge
