(MTN News-GREAT FALLS) Late Saturday evening, Great Falls Police Department responded to a robbery call from Emerald City Casino at 1200 7th Street South.
According to GFPD, a male suspect, later identified as George Leon Goodrie, pointed a handgun at the attendant and took money from the casino.
He then drove off in a white Chevy truck.
Responding officers flooded the area to search.
About an hour later, a Cascade County Sheriff’s Deputy located the suspect vehicle near the 3400 block of 11th Avenue South, about a block away from another casino.
GFPD and CCSO entered the nearby casino and made contact with all the customers.
Goodrie was found playing a machine in the casino and was detained.
He provided false identification information to the officers, and after comparing him to surveillance video, he was arrested.
At the time of the arrest, Goodrie did not have a gun on him.
The suspect vehicle also was listed as stolen from Helena, and was seized.
Goodrie, 42, has been charged with robbery and theft, both felonies, as well as obstructing a peace officer, a misdemeanor.
He also is a probation absconder, with $300,000 in warrants from Lewis & Clark County and Yellowstone County.
