GREAT FALLS –The Montana Department of Justice issued an AMBER Alert on Wednesday afternoon for Sandy Moore of Sheridan, Montana.
As of Thursday morning, the alert remains in effect, according to the MT DOJ.
Moore is 16 years old, 5’7″, about 116 pounds, wears glasses and has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white shirt with short, black sleeves, and jeans.
The AMBER Alert notes that Moore is “mentally delayed.”
Authorities believe that she was taken from her residence on Tuesday night by Rodney Lee Zahn.
Zahn is 60 years old, 5’5″, 135 pounds, with brown eyes, gray and brown short hair, a tattoo on his arm of the Tasmanian Devil, and a tattoo on his left hand of a cross.
Zahn is a registered violent offender violating his probation; the MT Department of Corrections, Zach was sentenced in Beaverhead County in 2013 after being convicted on a charge of felony aggravated assault.
Officials believe that they may be headed to Billings, or possibly to Boise, Idaho.
Zahn may be driving a black 1987 Ford pickup truck with Montana license plate 3-50558B; it has a white toolbox and green bicycle in back and is pulling a tan/white 5th-wheel trailer with a red generator and blue cover on the back of the trailer.
Anyone who sees either Moore or Zahn, or has information about their location, is asked to immediately call the Madison County Sheriff’s Office at 406-843-5301, their local law enforcement agency, or 911.
