(HELENA) At least one person was sent to the hospital after a four-vehicle crash on Highway 12 west of Helena on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened just before 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 12 and Lombardy Drive.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Alicia Williams said the chain reaction crash started when a westbound car stopped to turn left.

Montana Highway Patrol, Helena Fire Department, paramedics responded to help.

Traffic was stopped for about 30 minutes.


Initial Report (HELENA) Emergency crews are at the scene of multiple vehicle crash. The accident was first reported at about 1:45 p.m

The accident is located at on the Highway 12 west and Lombardy Dr.

There is no word yet on whether anyone has been injured.

If you are traveling, please be aware that traffic might slow down in that area due to the crash.
