(HELENA) On Friday, September 30 at around noon emergency crews responded to a vehicle accident at MacDonald Pass on U.S. Highway 12 near the scenic turnout area.

Montana Highway Patrol told MTN that the drivre was coming down the pass in a truck when he crashed through a guardrail. The truck ended up several hundred feet down from guardrail.

Officials did confirm that the victim is male and is in critical condition.

First Report: (HELENA) Emergency crews are at the scene of a vehicle accident at MacDonald Pass on U.S. Highway 12 near the scenic turnout area.

Please be cautious if you are driving around that area as traffic might slow down due to the accident.

The accident was reported around noon on Friday.

There is no word yet on whether anyone has been injured.
