A cold storm system will produce lower snow levels tonight through Tuesday.  A WINTER STORM WARNING is in effect for the central mountains including the Bear Paws, Little Rockies, Highwoods, Big Snowies, Big Belts, Little Belts, Castles, Crazies, Absarokees, and Beartooths.  The foothills and elevations below 5,000′ will see 1-5″ of accumulation by Tuesday morning.  Above 6,000′, 5-14″ will accumulate, with locally 18″ above 8,000′.  A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for the mountains along the Continental Divide, the Elkhorns, Sapphires, Bitterroots, Bridgers, Anacondas, Pioneers, Tobacco Roots, Beaverheads, and Madisons.  In these locations, 1-4″ will accumulate at about 5,000′-7,000′.  Above 7,000′, 5″-13″ will accumulate in these mountains.  Mountain passes that will be impacted are King’s Hill, Deep Creek, Boulder Hill, Rogers Pass, MacDonald, Homestake, and Monida.  Road conditions will likely be slushy and snow covered.  Be prepared for full on winter driving conditions.
