HELENA-The Bureau of Land Managment has scheduled a public meeting to discuss stabilization and rehabilitation of the area burned by the July Fire.

The July Fire started on July 3 near the town of Zortman.

It burned nearly 11,700 acres before it was 100 percent contained.

At the meeting, BLM representatives will discuss an emergency closure of the area, stabilization and rehabilitation, and mapping of the fire area by drones.

The meeting is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Sept. 6 at the Zortman Fire Station.
