HELENA – Helena Food Share wants the community to know that their doors are open to anyone affected by the fires.
The organization said they recognized the need to help those affected or displaced by wildfires and pledged to support them however they can.
No matter your income, Food Share will provide support to those who ask for it.
Development Director Daneal Lightner said that Food Share will never turn anyone away in need even if that means completely emptying their food stores. Food Share also wants people to know that no matter where you live, you can come in for canned or fresh food.
“We’d encourage anyone who’s affected by the fire, from fires to Lincoln up to Augusta or anywhere. We are open and been here thirty years and the fires are not affecting our operation,” said Program Operations Assistant John Dendy.
