HELENA-Late Saturday night the Lewis and Clark Co. Sheriff’s Office ordered new evacuations on the Alice Creek Fire northeast of Lincoln.

At approximately 11:00 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office posted mandatory evacuations for, “residents on both sides of Highway 200, south of Highway 434, from mile marker 92 through mile marker 100, extending east to the south fork of the Dearborn River.

Residents are asked to leave their property as soon as possible.

A shelter is being set up at the Wolf Creek School at 150 Walsh St.

According to the Lewis and Clark National Forest Facebook page, wind gusts near 50 miles per hour were reported Saturday night. The wind created extreme fire behavior on the fire’s east side.

The post adds, “a string of fire came out of Bedrock Canyon, between Sun Rise and Sunset Hills.”
