TETON COUNTY – A small plane crashed outside of Fairfield on Wednesday night.
Reports indicate that the crash occurred around 8:30 p.m.
Law enforcement officers and emergency medical personnel are at the scene.
According to authorities, a Cessna crashed on a secondary road outside of Fairfield.
We have received one unconfirmed report that it happened several miles west of Fairfield, but have not yet been able to confirm the exact location.
The pilot was taken by ambulance to Benefis Health System with minor injuries. The pilot was the only person on board.
An aircraft database indicates that the plane is a 1977 Cessna 182Q.
The registration number of the small plane indicates that it is owned by Richard J. Finley, Jr., of Juliaeta, Idaho. We do not yet know if Finley was the person piloting the plane.
