BILLINGS – An Arby’s restaurant in Billings is one of three across the country that will offer a new elk sandwich.
In a press release issued Monday, Arby’s announced the elk sandwich will be available at the West End restaurant located at 2834 King Ave. W. beginning Saturday.
The other two restaurants are in Casper, Wyo. and Thornton, Colo.
Arby’s also announced, after the preliminary launch in the three states, the limited-edition Elk Sandwich will be available nationwide.
“The positive response to our limited offering of venison last year was so widespread and passionate that we knew we had to find a way to offer it nationwide,” said Jim Taylor, chief marketing officer of Arby’s Restaurant Group, Inc.
The venison sandwich features a thick-cut venison steak and crispy onions topped with a juniper berry sauce on a toasted specialty roll, according to the company’s press release. The venison is marinated in garlic, salt and pepper and then sous-vide for three hours. The juniper berry sauce is a Cabernet steak sauce infused with juniper berries.
The elk sandwich features a tender elk steak topped with blackberry port steak sauce and crispy onions on a toasted specialty roll.
