HELENA – The Helena School District has started its search for a new superintendent.

The district hired consulting firm Hazard, Young Attea and Associates to assist with the search. According to a news release, the firm specializes in helping school boards select candidates to consider.

The district also announced two forums for the community to give feedback on what characteristics they want in a new superintendent.

The one-hour forums will be held on Oct. 23 and 25 in the Board Room at the Ray Bjork Learning Center located at 1600 8th Ave. They begin at 7 p.m.
