HELENA – A 20-year-old Helena suspect is accused of breaking into a home in violation of a no-contact order.
Nicholas Vinson is charged with felony burglary in connection with an incident that took place at the end of October. He allegedly entered a Helena residence through a window and locking himself in a master bedroom at the end of October.
He then allegedly texted the homeowner, who has a court order of protection against Vinson, asking the petitioner to talk.
Vinson was eventually convinced to leave the residence by other individuals who were at the home at the time.
Vinson is also accused of repeatedly attempting to contact the petitioner by phone.
In September Vinson was charged with felony strangulation.
Court documents say Vinson’s criminal history includes a pending charge of partner family member assault and other pending no contact order violations.
According to ConWeb, Vinson also has a prior conviction for criminal endangerment.
His bond is set at $20,000.
