HELENA-A suspect is charged with breaking into a pair storage units.
Junior Pineda-Garcia was seen via video in Lewis and Clark Justice Court Thursday afternoon.
He’s charged with felony Burglary.
Charging documents say a resident on Eames Lane called 9-1-1 shortly after 4:00 a.m. Wednesday, saying he heard storage unit doors at Canyon Ferry Storage opening and closing.
Responding deputies found two units with their locks cut off. Fresh tire tracks and footprints next to the units in the fresh snow.
The deputies said it looked as if items were taken from the units, but no specifics were given.
A short time later one deputy located Pineda-Garcia walking away from the area on Spokane Ranch road. He told the deputy his girlfriend had left him in the area and he was walking to town.
Deputies were able to match Pineda-Garcia’s shoes to the prints found near the storage units.
His bond has been set at $20,000.00. He’ll be arraigned in District Court next month.
