HELENA- Helena Police say three men have been arrested for their alleged role in Monday night’s robbery of the Subway restaurant on N. Sanders.
According to police, dispatchers received a report of the robbery around 9:30 p.m Monday night. The caller said two masked men had entered the store about 20 minutes earlier and assaulted the clerk. Police say the clerk was tied up and locked in the store.
Police say the men made the clerk provide them with money, before forcing him into the walk-in freezer. The clerk called authorities after he freed himself.
According to Assistant Police Chief Steve Hagen, the police department executed a search warrant on a residence at 810 Idlewilde around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police arrested three suspects, Samuel Ray Kelly, Anthony Wyatt Hudson, and Mark Anthony Sides for their alleged role in the Subway robbery and a Jan. 4 burglary of an e-cigarette store police say they discovered evidence of during their search.
Kelly and Hudson, both 18, have been charged with Robbery and Kidnapping; and Burglary for the Jan. 4 break-in at the e-cigarette store.
Sides, also 18, has been charged with accountability to Robbery for his alleged involvement in the Subway Robbery and burglary for the e-cigarette store incident.
The three men could appear in Lewis and Clark Co. Justice Court as early as Thursday afternoon.
