Helena woman recognized with Woman of Achievement Award

HELENA – A Helena woman was surprised with a big honor Thursday afternoon.

Jena Sabatini was given the 2018 Woman of Achievement award after being nominated by friend Sherry O’Donnell.

The award is given each year to a woman who shows great involvement and commitment to the Helena community and works to improve the lives of women and girls on a social and economic level.

In her nomination letter, O’Donnell said Sabatini has been “selflessly contributing and volunteering in our community since the day she arrived.”

Sabatini moved to Helena in 2005 and founded Fun Events, an organization which helps support a number of area nonprofits like the Lewis and Clark Humane Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Helena Food Share. Sabatini also founded JADE Management, a hotel consulting, operations and sales company.

Sabatini said she was very surprised to receive the award.

“Shocked, overwhelmed. Completely surprised,” Sabatini said. “[I’m] very happy that a great group of people have recognized me for this out of so many awesome candidates out there to receive something like this.”

The award is organized by The American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) and Soroptimist International of Helena as part of the Salute to Women Event.

Sabatini will be recognized at a fundraising luncheon in Helena on March 15. For tickets and more information, click here.
