HELENA- NorthWestern Energy says it has dispatched crews to determine why a large portion of the Hi-Line was without power on Tuesday morning.

In a Facebook post around 8:30 a.m., NorthWestern says Kremlin, Gildford, Hingham, Rudyard, Inverness are impacted. The company also says many people in Choteau area without power.

According to NorthWestern’s online outage map, about 700 people are impacted.

NorthWestern says it hopes to have power restored to the Hi-Line area within an hour. It did not list a cause for the outage.

All of north-central Montana was under a wind chill advisory Tuesday morning. Air temperatures hovered between -15 and -20 degrees.
