UPDATE: 2/23/18, 1:25 p.m. – Dillon Police say the campus of the University of Montana Western in Dillon is reopened Friday afternoon after it was evacuated due to a bomb threat earlier in the day.

Classes and activities remain canceled for Friday. Classes will resume at 8:15 a.m. on Monday.

“ I was impressed by the quick evacuation by our staff, students, and faculty,” said UM-Western Chancellor Beth Wetherby. “I am thankful to our amazing law enforcement agencies who were swift to act and diligent in ensuring the safety of our community.”

DILLON – Dillon Police Chief Don Guiberson confirmed there was a bomb threat at the University Montana Western in Dillon and officers are in the process of evacuating the campus.
