BILLINGS – A group of local chefs that has been cooking up fundraising for several years is moving its fabulous food and efforts to help another nonprofit.

The Wise Wonders Children’s Museum will now reap the benefits of the Billings Signature Chef event, held March 19 at Billings Depot.

The event previously raised money for the March of Dimes, which no longer has a Montana chapter.

The chefs will now work with Wise Wonders, which opened in June 2015, to demonstrate and auction off their talents.

“There’s so many chefs from so many businesses from around town,” said Kelli Toohill, executive director of the museum. .”It’s just incredible. You get to try them all in one place. It’s not just at one restaurant. They’re all going to be here at one place.”

“There are chefs that have restaurants. But there’s a lot of talent here that isn’t necessarily where you’d get to see them,” said Megan Jesse, board president of the Chefs & Cooks of Montana. “Morning Star Living. The Springs at Grand Park. Those guys have an amazing amount of talent, and you might not necessarily get to see that. So this gives them the opportunity to play a little bit creatively.”
