GREAT FALLS – The Do Bar in Great Falls hosted a celebration for one of their regulars on Thursday. Leah Walbon was born in Missoula on March 1, 1916, making her 102 years old.

Her secret to a long life might surprise you: every day she and her best friend Joe Henderson head to The Do Bar to have a couple of beers and a few games of pool.

Joe said having her in his life is a privilege and doing this every day makes him appreciate how important she is.

She has a remarkable memory and can shoot off any date and tell you what happened on that day.

Walbon was part of the first freshman class at Great Falls High School, and of course, remembers the day she graduated: “We went into Great Falls High in 1930 and came out in 1934 in June 6th.”

But it’s not just her impressive memory and age that makes her extraordinary; “She is a special lady. She loves everybody. She’s a friend with everybody,” said Henderson.
