Happy March!  In the world of meteorologists, the spring months are March, April, and May.  The astronomical beginning of Spring is not until March 20th, but we’re turning the corner on winter.  That being said, a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for southwest Montana through tonight.  A big low pressure moving into the Pacific Northwest will send a few waves of snow through the state Friday and this weekend.  Friday, periods of snow will mainly move through western and central areas.  Skies will be cloudy with highs in the 20s and 30s.  Saturday, snow will move up to the Hi-Line while most of the state will be partly to mostly cloudy.  A few snow showers will move through the mountains.  Sunday, another round of snow will through central and southern areas.  Highs will dip into the 10s and 20s.  A few inches could accumulate throughout the state.  The heaviest snow will be in southeast Montana.  The storm will pull away on Monday, and the rest of the week looks warmer with more sunshine.  Spring is right around the corner.

Have a great day!
