Helena man charged with throwing dog feces at partner

HELENA – 29 year-old Aaron Lee Lynn Standard appeared in Justice Court Monday, on a third offense of Partner Family Member Assault.

On Friday, Helena officers were called to Standard’s house for a disturbance. His partner is currently pregnant with their child.

She said that they had gotten into a verbal argument, and Standard spit on her several times.

The victim also stated that Standard picked up dog feces and threw it at her. He also threw an orange, and ran at the victim, making her believe she was going to be assaulted.

He has already plead guilty in Gallatin County for aggravated assault, and will be sentenced later in March in Bozeman.

Since Standard has two prior partner-family member assault convictions, this makes his third offense a felony.

The maximum penalty, if convicted for the felony, is up to 5 years in prison or a $50,000 fine.
