Another Nice Weekend Ahead

Posted
and last updated

What a weekend! It was just what we all needed with sunshine and great weather. While the next few days will be on the stormy side, anyone looking ahead to next weekend should be happy with the upcoming forecast. For now, a cold front will move through the state Monday night and Tuesday. Temperatures will drop and scattered showers of rain and snow will move through much of the state, but the mountains will see more in the way of snow. Tuesday's highs will be in the 30s and 40s with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Snow showers may mix with some raindrops in the lower elevations. Snow accumulation of a few inches will be confined to the higher terrain where temperatures will be colder. Wednesday will be cool, breezy with scattered snow showers. Once again, the accumulating snow should mainly be over the higher terrain. Areas along I-90 could get slippery as well with more persistent snow possible. Highs will be in the 30s and 40s in the lower elevations, 20s in the mountains. The stormy pattern will clear starting on Thursday with mostly sunny skies and still some cool temperatures in the 40s to around 50. Average highs at this time of year should be in the upper 40s to mid 50s. Temperatures will warm close to those averages heading into Friday and this weekend. With partly cloudy skies and breezy conditions, the last weekend of March will be pretty nice once again for much of the state.
Have a great day and stay safe.
