Arctic air is sticking around through the morning hours in Eastern Montana. A Wind Chill Advisory will remain in effect until 11 am today. Portions of eastern Montana wake up temperatures were almost -30°, but temperatures will rebound. Southwest winds will aid with a slight warm-up of temperatures. The high temperatures for the eastern part of the state will be in the lower to mid 20's, and some areas will even reach 30. Temperatures in the rest of the state will reach the 30's and lower 40's. Most of the state will have partly cloudy skies and have windy conditions. The Northern Rocky Mountain front will have wind gusting up to 60mph at times. Later in the afternoon/evening hours, the wind will be more widespread for the area. Blowing and drifting snow will be the biggest issue for today. If traveling through Highway 87 from Belt to Hobson and Highway 89 to Monarch, expect to see the worst conditions. A cold front will pass through the state tomorrow, bringing in snow showers and windy conditions.
Enjoy your day,
