After a beautiful weekend, unsettling weather returns back to the state. The rain will come down heavy at times, and the wind will be gusty. As of now, the risk is Marginal, but the thunderstorms can produce small hail and lightning. The high temperatures for western Montana will stay in the 60s portions of central Montana in the 70s, and eastern Montana temperatures will remain in the upper 80s. With the temperatures warming up, the remaining snowpack in the higher elevations can create flooding. The Rocky Mountain Front favors the highest precipitation amounts. Tomorrow will be a rinse and repeat of today, but the storm system will be slightly stronger northeast of Great Falls. The risk will remain marginal, but the storm could create larger hail. Central and northcentral Montana will get up to 2' of rainfall, and the temperatures will stay on average. The eastern part of the state temperatures will stay in the upper 80s while everywhere else will be in the upper 60s and low 70s. By mid-week wet weather will still be with us.
Enjoy your day,
😊
