Beautiful Start to Mother's Day Weekend

Mother's Day Weekend will start out beautifully, too bad it won't end that way. Saturday will be mostly sunny and much warmer with highs in the 50s and 60s. The wind will be light and most of the state will be dry, with the exception of a few showers in far northeast Montana. Mother's Day Sunday will have a cold front move through the state producing mostly cloudy skies, a few isolated rain/snow showers, and much cooler temperatures. Most areas will have highs in the 40s, but a few spots could reach the low 50s. West of the Continental Divide around Missoula will be warmer with highs near 60. While clouds dominate the sky, precipitation will be very light and spotty. Sunday will not be the prettiest day but it won't be a complete washout. That's coming later this upcoming workweek. Monday will be mostly cloudy with a few isolated showers. Tuesday and Wednesday will be cloudy with areas of rain, a chilly rain as highs will only be in the 40s. Snow will fly in the mountains and snow levels will likely drop below mountain pass level at times. Thursday and Friday will be slightly warmer but a few showers are still possible. This time of year is typically wet but precipitation is likely going to be above average through the week into next weekend.
Happy Mother's Day!
