As a high-pressure system moves across Montana over the next few days, the skies will remain clear. The wake-up temperatures for northeast Montana and along the Hi-Line are in the single digits, other areas in the teens, but luckily for us, the temperatures will warm up as the day continues. By the afternoon, most of the state will have sunny skies, mild temperatures, and breezy conditions. The high temperatures for today are in the '30s and '40s, but with slightly breezy conditions, it will make the temperatures feel a tad colder. In north-central Montana, the winds will be gusting up to 30mph at times, but along the Rocky Mountain front is were most of the wind will stay. Friday temperatures will warm up but, for Friday and Saturday, all the ingredients for a winter wildfire is high. The temperatures will be warm, the wind will pick up, the humidity will be low, and with the lack of snowpack on the ground can make things hazardous. Be safe, and avoid burning any debris this weekend! Sunday, we will have an increase in clouds and snow will arrive on our doorstep. Western Montana and North Central Montana will first get snow showers on Sunday, and stormy weather will continue into Monday. Monday, a light accumulation of up to a few inches is possible in the lower elevations; however, the mountains will receive several inches of snow.
Enjoy the next few days of ☀️ skies!
