GREAT FALLS – A six-year-old girl set up her lemonade stand again for the third year, but this time, for a much different cause.
Kennedy Ross has sold lemonade each year to fund her trips to Disneyland.
Last year, her brother Troy got sick and this year she decided all the money she raised was going to Make-A-Wish Montana.
When asked why Make-a-Wish, she had a simple answer: “Cause when my brother was sick, they helped my brother.”
Her mother couldn’t be more proud of her.
“At six-years-old, she’s had to be more empathetic than I think most kids her age have had to be and for her to want to do this where she could just do the stand and still take the money, or say, ‘I’ll do 50-50,’ and she said, ‘No, all of it goes to Make-A-Wish,’” Callie Ross said.
One family from Helena even stopped by to make a donation. Others came by after seeing the post on Facebook.
Kennedy’s goal was to raise $50, however, she earned $232.50.
