GREAT FALLS – Cesar Millan, the host of National Geographic’s “Dog Whisperer” and “Dog Nation,” will headline a fundraiser for the Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center in Great Falls on September 7.

Cesar Millan LIVE! begins at 7:30 p.m. and will feature demonstrations and much more at the Mansfield Center.

Millan is a best-selling author and public speaker and has more than 25 years of canine experience.

Millan told MTN that people can expect to not only laugh, but learn something about themselves.

“Watching a tv show, you’re not really understanding why I do what I do. You’re just seeing a guy that comes in and 30 minutes later, you see the outcome,” said Millan. “But the live shows help me break it down for people, at the same time make people laugh throughout the show because we have so much content. People are not expecting to come to watch a dog guy make them laugh and at the same time, learn about themselves. I always say I don’t train dogs, I train people.”

The event description states: “Come learn how to be the Pack Leader from Cesar himself as he brings his canine wisdom to you with his Cesar Millan Live tour! Cesar will reveal the secrets to having a happier, healthier relationship with your dog. You’ll find out what role you play in your dog’s behavior — and how to change it by seeing the world through your dog’s eyes.”

Tickets are available online or at the Mansfield Box Office. Prices range from $50 to $100 and tickets are required for all ages.

The Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center provides temporary shelter to cats and dogs as well as space for humane education and training courses.
