KALISPELL – The Kalispell Convention & Visitor Bureau will host the Montana Dragon Boat Festival this weekend.
Teams from around the country will be racing 46-foot-long traditional Hong Kong-style dragon boats.
The festival has been a favorite since its founding in 2012, drawing thousands of people to Flathead Lake for two days of exciting races.
The event has contributed more than $6 million in economic impact to Kalispell and the surrounding area.
This year’s festival will take place in Lakeside Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and admission and parking is free for spectators.
The Bigfork Area Chamber of Commerce will take over as presenter of the festival next year and it will be held at Wayfarers State Park.
