GREAT FALLS – We live in a fast-paced world pushed by technology, but one cross country traveler is more horsepower driven.

Lee the Horselogger turned heads as he made his way through the Electric City on Thursday.

“We don’t go around cities, I go right through the hearts of cities,” Lee said.

He and his three horses have been on the road for 13 years.

“There’s a whole lot of life to be lived out there. Every day, I’m doing something,” Lee said.

The crew has done somewhere around 18,000 miles, making it across the country four times.

“I do something every day of value. That’s missing in our society,” Lee said.

In fact, his oldest horse Faye, accompanied him on 13,000 of the miles. If she hits the Pacific Ocean, it will be her third trip across the country.

“I get told all the time, ‘you are so brave to do this.’ It’s like what are you talking about? All I’m doing is hitching horses up and going down the road,” Lee said.

To Lee, it’s more than the mileage that means something to him.

“After 13 years, you don’t measure things as your favorite, the moistest. Where you are at is the best place,” Lee said.

He pulls all he owns with him every day.

“Our world, I’m alien to,” Lee said.

Lee is heading to Missoula. He plans to find work there and stay for the winter. If you wish to follow Lee’s journey, you can follow him on Facebook.
