HELENA — Friday night at the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds, the 21st Annual Last Chance Community Pow Wow danced into Helena.

Dancers from all over Montana have come together for one purpose: to celebrate their Native American heritage and the spirit of Native Americans that thrive in the Helena valley.

Despite the approaching winter weather this weekend, the dancing, festivities and vendors will continue on.

Marcus Red Thunder, the MC of the annual Pow Wow, has been a part of this special event for 10 years.

“It's a community pow wow, and it's to honor the children, and encouraging education and encouraging wellness,” said Red Thunder.

The Pow Wow continues on Saturday and Sunday with Grand Entry happening Saturday 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m and Sunday at 12:00 p.m., and everyone is welcome to join at this family-friendly event.
