HELENA — Dayspring Restoration and Murdoch's Ranch & Home Supply partnered in Helena Tuesday to help keep Montana's first responders healthy, and take some work off their shoulders.
First responders and their vehicles can interact with dozens of different people each week.
Dayspring crews provided hospital-grade cleaning and disinfecting for city, country and state first responder's vehicles, all at no charge. Murdoch’s provided a parking lot big enough for large fire engines to effectively move around.
MTN spoke with several first responders who said the clearing is a big help, especially since they’ve been hand cleaning their own vehicles after every public interaction for the last month.
“It’s a response from the community that’s heartfelt,” said Sheriff Leo Dutton. “We clean the best we can, but what they’re doing here we just can’t replicate.”
Andrew Gordon, Dayspring Restoration Central Montana Business Development manager, said this is just a small way they can give back and say thank you.
“We know that they get tired,” said Gordon.”They’re taking a lot of extra precautions disinfecting vehicles and their buildings and everything else, and this was something in an area when we thought we could give back and relieve some of that stress for them.”
Tuesday’s event is Helena is part of a statewide effort to provide hospital grade cleaning for Montana first responders.
