GREAT FALLS — Christmas festivities started a little early in downtown Great Falls on Tuesday.

Great Falls Fire Rescue hosted a "reverse" holiday parade outside the Great Falls Civic Center. It started at 1:00pm and offered two hours of festive celebrations for the community.

First responders created a bright and cheery display with their emergency vehicles in from of the city’s Christmas tree. The big man himself, Santa Claus, even made an appearance at the parade.

People showed their holiday spirit with a wave or a honk as they drove by.

“We should spread a little Christmas cheer in light of everything that’s going on in the world and in the community right now, so we decided to come down here with all of our law enforcement and EMS partners and spread a little Christmas cheer with Santa Claus and greet people and let them know we're still here, and be positive,” said Great Falls Fire Rescue Officer Bob Shupe.

The first responders of Great Falls would like to thank everyone that come out to the reverse parade and wish everyone a merry Christmas.
