HELENA – Meet Fruitcake! She may be a little shy, but she is a sweetheart. At just two years old, she’s already been through a lot. Just about a month ago, she was brought in to the shelter as a stray.
Her three kittens came with her, and they’ve all found a place to call home, but Fruitcake is still looking. Because she tends to lay low and hide when situations get loud or overwhelming, she doesn’t get a lot of attention when people come in looking for a cat. This is one big reason for the lack of interest in Fruitcake.
But staff say that once shy cats like this gal have a chance to get comfortable, they can form a strong bond with their new owner. It may take some patience, but it is very rewarding.
Fruitcake would be a great companion for a quiet and calm home. Young kids could potentially be overwhelming for her, but other more social cats could help ease some of her shyness. Go meet her!
