Happy Earth Day, Here's What Mother Nature is Cooking Up Next

Happy Earth Day!
The next storm is approaching and will make for a pretty stormy Thursday with everything but the kitchen sink. An unstable airmass will sweep across Montana with showers, isolated thunderstorms, wind, higher elevation snow, and a mix of clouds and sun. Temperatures will be much cooler with 40s and 50s in the lower elevations, 20s and 30s in the higher mountains. Snow over the mountain passes could create some slushy conditions on the road surfaces. A few inches of snow will accumulate in the mountains above 6000'. With a few breaks in the clouds allowing for some sunshine, there may be a few rainbows out there. Friday will still be unsettled with showers, wind, isolated thunderstorms and mountain snow showers. There will be more sunshine and temperatures will be slightly warmer. The weekend looks very nice with partly to mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s. A weak disturbance will move through late Saturday evening with a few showers, but they should clear by Sunday morning. By Tuesday of next week, a big ridge of high pressure will move in for absolutely beautiful weather. Skies will be mostly sunny for days with highs reaching the 70s to near 80 as April draws to a close.
Have a great day.
