A CIVIL EMERGENCY MESSAGE Pondera County has declared an EMERGENCY TRAVEL ONLY ORDER FOR U.S. HIGHWAY 89.

A WINTER STORM WARNING continues for central and north-central Montana from FRIDAY morning until 11 am SATURDAY.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for central and southwest Montana into TONIGHT.

The wake-up temperatures for today, only in the teens with snow continuing to fall through the morning and evening hours. The storm will continue to affect much of the region; hazardous conditions have been reported throughout Montana. If traveling today to the grocery store to get any last-minute items, please drive safe and DO NOT SPEED roads are still icy and covered with snow. Cold temperatures and cloudy skies will stick around for the next couple of days. Tonight the snow will start to taper off to the northeast, but a 2nd round will return from the southwest Friday morning. The snow will be more widespread for today and tomorrow. Friday expect mostly cloudy skies, windy conditions, and an increase in snowfall. Friday's temperatures below freezing for most of the state and the 2nd round of snow will bring in more accumulating snow. Travel conditions will continue to be extremely dangerous going into Saturday. Sunday travel conditions will slightly improve, but roads are still expected to be still slick. A warming trend is approaching for early next week.
