Here Comes Montana's "1st Summer"

Montana has all of the seasons, but sometimes there are multiple appearances of the same season through points of the year. Yes, I'm being a little facetious but some years it seems like there are about 5 different winters. The first "summer" of the year arrives on Friday. High temperatures will warm into the 70s and 80s which is well above average. An isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible. Saturday will be even warmer with highs mainly in the 80s. Scattered thunderstorms over the western mountains will develop in the afternoon and drift northward through the evening. Sunday will be another warm day for most of the state with highs in the 80s and 90s. Northwest Montana near Kalispell and Cut Bank will cool down some with highs only in the 60s and 70s there as a little cold front clips that part of the state. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will once again develop but spread across most of Montana. Warm temperatures in the 70s and 80s with scattered afternoon storms will continue through the middle of next week. Into the first weekend of June, a colder system could bring a return of snow to the mountains and much cooler temperatures across the state. That would be the end of "Summer #1" in Montana...
Have a great day.
