Less snow with the next storm system

Some areas woke up to a snowy scene on Thursday morning as a solid spring storm moved through Montana. Heavy snow and heavy rain moved out slowly through the day. Clouds have broken up heading into the night. It's the full "Flower" moon as well as the Aquarid Meteor Shower which stems from Halley's Comet debris field. Friday, another storm is headed through Montana with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some snow showers are likely in the higher terrain but there will not be the accumulation like the previous storm. Highs will be kept down in the 50s, but the mountains will have highs in the 30s and 40s. The weekend will start out very nice with mostly sunny skies and warmer temperatures in the 60s for Saturday. It really will be a beautiful spring day. Mother's Day on Sunday will not be as nice. A weak cold front will move through Montana with mostly cloudy skies and a few isolated rain and snow showers. Highs will be much cooler in the 40s and 50s with a northeast wind up to 15mph. Sunday will not be a stormy day, just not as pretty as Saturday. More wet, cool and cloudy weather will affect the state through Wednesday. While significant rain and snow is unlikely, there will be showers and higher elevation snow around through midweek.
Have a nice day.
