HELENA – The Helena Community Credit Union has made a multi-year commitment to Symphony under the stars as their new principal sponsor.

The credit union presented the Helena Symphony with a $157,500 check on Wednesday morning which they say is a commitment to the growth of the event. Helena Community Credit Union has been the sole sponsor of the fireworks finale for the last several years.

Now in its 15th year, Symphony Under the Stars attracts thousands of people to the Carroll College campus.

Symphony Music Director Allan Scott says that partnerships like this are key to keeping the event free for everyone to enjoy.

“That’s the magic of it all, that thousands of people not just from Helena but all over the county,” says Scott, “It’s one of the largest outdoor concerts in the country and they come to this beautiful campus and now thanks to the Helena Community Credit Union the immediate future is secured for this event.“

Greg Strizich, CEO of Helena Community Credit Union, presented the check personally and says he’s proud to support such a worthy event.

“Partnering with area nonprofits is a core value of Helena Community Credit Union,” says Strizich, “We are honored to be associated with such a wonderful event. “

The theme this year for Symphony Under the Stars will be Star Wars and will feature the music of Jon Williams.

The concert is Saturday July 21st, 2018 at 8:30pm.
