GREAT FALLS – Airmen at Malmstrom Air Force Base came out Friday morning for a friendly competition.

The “Amazing Race” challenge takes 13 teams across Malmstrom to compete for some extra time off.

Staff Sergeant Sabrina Brandt of the 341st Communication Squadron says this is the most participation that the annual event has seen .

The benefit of the race is that these airmen are building morale and teamwork, and also learning more about the various units and agencies that make up the Malmstrom team.

“The airmen will be going through a scavenger hunt. They will be trying to find agencies that they are not normally going to. They will be able to do some adventures where they will do physical challenges. Then they might do little exams with the different agencies,” said SSgt Brandt.

The winning team will get a three-day pass and the team that comes in second place gets a one-day pass.
