SHELBY – A couple driving their new custom motor home through Shelby ran into some heavy-duty trouble on Wednesday.

A Canadian couple had just flown to the States to pick up their custom-made 45’ motor home.

They were trying to get to the motel near Shopko in Shelby when the front end of the motor home fell through the pavement and started to sink.

Cliff’s Towing helped the couple out, and told KRTV: “We used two heavy wreckers to lift the front end, so we could place blocks underneath. We were then able to back the motor home out of the sink hole to a safe place. There were damages to it, but they were able to continue on their way after fixing a few issues.”
