KALISPELL – Congressman Greg Gianforte (R-MT) continued his Small Business Tour with a stop on Thursday where he also received an award.
Rep. Gianforte was also presented with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Spirit of Enterprise Award.
The U.S. Chamber tracks how members of Congress vote on bills important to the business community and members of Congress who vote with them at least 70% of the time during the prior session of Congress with the award.
Kalispell Chamber President Joe Unterreiner praised the Congressman for his pro-growth voting record and work to pass legislation to address the growing wildfire issues that pose such a threat to the state’s economy and environment.
“I am honored that the U.S. Chamber and the state chamber recognize me for being on the side of small business. I’m a business guy myself, these are not hard decisions, I think prosperity is created in the private-sector. And small business in Montana is really the backbone of our economy,” Rep. Gianforte said.
The event also included a tour of the business, hosted by the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce.
Gianforte made stops earlier this week in Bozeman, Missoula and Ronan to discuss issues important to small businesses such as taxes, federal regulations and the economy.
