BILLINGS – Bikes, flowers and fun make for good riding on near Shiloh Crossing on Sunday.

Billings TrailNet held its 3rd Annual Tour de Fleur, a ride that celebrates women, spring and the joy of bicycling.

“It’s just such a great event,” said Kristi Drake, Billings TrailNet executive director, “Who could not like bikes and flowers and the fun that it all brings?”

Song Dog Serenade added to the festivities of the third annual Tour de Fleur.

About 250 went on either the five mile or the one and a half mile ride on the trails near Shiloh Crossing.

The ride helps inspire women to start riding or to get back on the bikes after the winter.

“To encourage women to get out on their bike and be active, any kind of activity really, running, biking, walking on our trail system,” said Drake. “Focus on women and their children and so we just encourage women, and mothers and daughters to just feel that camaraderie and ride side by side through the Tour de Fleur.”

The money raised from the Tour de Fleur goes to help the Billings Trail System.
