Special immunization clinic set up for workers in flood waters

HELENA – Dirty flood waters have county health officials worried about the potential for the spread of disease.

On Friday, Lewis and Clark County Public Health in partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield are holding a free immunization clinic. The clinic is for homeowners, workers and volunteers have have had to work in the floodwaters.

Vaccinations for tetanus and other possible infections will be offered at no charge.

The clinic starts tomorrow at 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. It will be located at the county health department at 1930 Ninth Avenue in Helena. Public Health asks that you bring your insurance card with you if you have one.
