BOZEMAN – Bozeman has hired its first-ever communications coordinator.
Melody Mileur will start her first day as the communications coordinator for the City of Bozeman on May 29.
She will be in charge of keeping a flow of communication throughout different departments, dealing with the media, and updating citizens on behalf of the city.
Mileur is coming to Bozeman from Williams County, North Dakota where she served as a communications officer. City Manager Andrea Surratt says more than 40 people applied for the city position, but it was Mileur who stood out.
“You see her hitting the ground running. She does this work in Williams County and so we are going to start by giving her some orientation to the city but then making sure that she is comfortable going ahead and starting to push out some of the information we would like the citizens to receive,” said Surratt.
