Havre woman denies attempted murder charge

HAVRE – Brooke Ann Blacktongue denied allegations Tuesday in District Court in Havre that she choked and tried to stab a woman with a kitchen knife.

According to the Havre Herald, Blacktongue pleaded not guilty to felony attempted deliberate homicide, assault with a weapon, and strangulation of a partner or family member, as well as misdemeanor assault.

She is being held in the Hill County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.

According to the Montana Department of Corrections, Blacktongue’s criminal record includes convictions in Hill County for criminal endangerment and criminal distribution of dangerous drugs.
